Acne Home Remedies:

Sorry if I spelled something wrong or left something out!! Do READ this whole entry!!!
Do stick to a routine!!! I hope this works for you!!
If you have a parent with clear skin and a parent with moderate to severe acne, chances are you will have SEVERE ACNE!
My Mom has beautiful skin my dad have a few spots, and I have BAD SKIN!
Every pore is a blackhead on my face!
There is nothing you can do to get rid of acne forever. Those who say that a natural remedy cleared their face, may only have moderate acne. Or the cause is in their heath, diet, or other problems.
My acne is GENETIC. Not even Proactiv, over the counter, or prescription medicines will help. Your hair on your skin is suppose to help dirt and oil slide down the hair strand through sweating. (Hope thats easy to understand)The hair on your face is the same. Each hair has a follicle, on the face the follicle is a pore. Your sweat canal carries the oil to the correct gland to prepare to secrete the oil through the hairs in through your pores. You get bumps when the oil rupture in the canal that carries it. It turns red and get big because your skin's natural defense kicks in to fight the oil rupture. Puss is a result of a rupture. Blackheads are the result of a blocked canal that got to the service but didnt secrete properly. The black tip is from the oil mixing with the oxygen on the surface and it hardens.
Your skin may does not secrete oil properly.
Do ALL of the over the counter medicines detroy your face upon contact? Do you see more bumps when you sweat or where a hat, or hair in your face? Yeap you may have my problem. Do you have a few clear days then all of a sudden volcanoes appear no matter what you use?
That's because oil is not finding a way to escape through daily sweating and etc.
SOME acne is cause by a hormone(I forget the name)and or your skins inability to secrete oil. You have to approach this logically. You either give yourself artificial hormones-birth control pills, etc. or you find a way to stop your body from secreting so much oil! This is why some people say that DIET can help. (Im too grown and skinny for a DIET!)
When your liver and spleen can not convert toxins fast enough, they send the toxins to the largest defense organ of the body. The SKIN. When you sweat all these toxins have to come out, water help break all toxins down! The more water you drink the clearer your urine, the same goes for your skin.
Well here is a way to see fewer bumps over two weeks.
Do use: The cleanser, scrub, astringent, and moisterizer is a vital routine for a clearer face. I do not use any medications other than proactive-it doesnt work, but I bought it and it doesnt cause more damage.
DO NOT MIX SALYLIC ACID AND BENZOYL PEROXIDE!!!!!!!!!
-IF you use a medication dont mix with other medications-only mix with natural remedies(burdock root, tea tree oil, pure vitamin E, orange peel, cucumber, sntioxidants, etc.)
-Do steam your face, the steam will cause your face to sweat, secreting the oil natural through the pores,THEN
-Do use your cleaner/scrub. Make your cleaner a scrub by adding ground Nut Meg(This will take off that dirty layer that is is holding the oil in, your blemishes may lighten,I sometimes add milk or honey for a scrub that leave your skin soft and smooth afterwards, if you want leave it on for 20min)
- After you clean/scrub use your medicated astringent or natural ways to remove oil from your skin. Lemon juice, witch hazel, tea tree oil etc. (Removing oil will make your face over secrete oil, I normally let my antibacteria soap or honey and nut meg scrub stay on my face while Im sitting around the house. My face is used to it now and it doesnt secrete as MUCH oil, its getting tamed a little!Plus I have oily skin.
- I put tea tree oil on my open bumps that I may bust or if they bust when I use my scrub. I do squeeze my bumps. Im guilty! But if you dry out the bump first with toothpaste it decreases the puss and the bump surface area, then I lightly squeeze the puss out. Try to minimize the size of the hole you make, and then work on cleaning the bacteria from the area with tea tree oil. Make sure if you squeeze a bump get ALL of the puss out. You should see water or red blood, not hte yellowish blood. Then hel the scar and dont peal the scar, let the scrub work on the scar. Some people never pick at their face, but if you do, clean your hands and clean the area you pick at, and dont squeeze it hard and make a big splash. You are creating a bigger hole than you have to. Just barely pinch it. Or dont pick at all! Dry it out and let the puss fade back into the skin. It will still make a dark mark. Thats why I save the time and bring it to a head and pop it.
I cut and pasted this from some where else. It is pretty logical. (I added some explanation from my point of view.)
1. Drink a WATER before, during and after each meal. Remove those toxins from the inside!
2. DO NOT drink any carbonated drink or coke.
This is the one of the biggest causes of Acne
3. DO NOT eat alot of Trans Fatty Acid foods Pizza, Fast Food etc.
4. Change your pillow case every other day.( I am sooo lazy, but I add my pillow case whenever I washed anything, and I now the sides of my face dont break out any more)
Dirt can easily get into your pillow so change it every other day.
5. Try not to touch your face a lot.
When you touch your face you can sometimes spread dirt to your face.(True)
6. Wash you face.(Over washing can cause the skin to secrete more oil to replace the oil that is drawn out, I normally lather dial antibacteria soap on my face and keep it on while Im in the house)
Wash you face in the morning with soap and then your Acne pads, cleanser etc. Then wash your face at night but DO NOT use the Acne cleanser.
7. Kept your hair Clean.
When you have dirty hair you will get a lot of acne around the ears and forehead.(true, I just never wear bangs, bumps will come!)
8. Try not to look at your face.
When you look at your face it couldn't have gotten worse and then you would feel down because you've worked so hard at trying to get it acne free.( true, I guess, but Im constanly in the mirror)
9. Use a clean towel to wash your face and pad it dry don't rub.( I never use a rag, I clean my hands/nails with anti bacteria soap)
10. Set Goals
This is the best one. Set a goal say like you'll see improvement in 2 weeks and stick to that. Make sure you follow the steps-(Stick to YOUR routine)
11. Don't Stress over your Acne
It’s proven that if you stress is a leading cause of Acne. So just set back and give yourself some time.
12. Get Vitamin E oil and run it on your face. It heals the face and all your scars.(True, but slowly!!Use that Nut Meg scrub!!)
Oh and if your looking for a Acne Cleanser I would recommnd Oxy Pads or Clearsal.-(NEVER!!! These things break me out- I use Dial antibac soap/nut meg and honey for cleanser/srcub, I alternate between lemon juice, egg white, tea tree oil, slice of patato or witch hazel for astringents, and to add moisture a lite layer of vitamin E oil(the kind I bought is thick)or rub a slice of cucumber,or a THIN layer of your daily moisturizer.
If you just stick to these steps and make goals it may help you. But do realize that it will never go away. I it may calm down, but if you break your routine it may come back. Don't put alot of different acids or chemiicals on your face. Go with using a slice of potato, lemon, cucumber. They have natural acids!

My husband has suffered from acne for many years of his life. Some people just have acne on their face, some like my husband, has it terribly all over their entire body. It's embarrassing, and painful physically and emotionally. My husband tried literally everything. I was determined to get rid of his acne one way or another. So one day I was shopping at the grocery store, and picked up a bottle of head and shoulders. I discovered that by washing your skin with head and shoulders it clears up acne with-in a matter of days! His acne on his entire body went away in 3 days. It works! My husband is the happiest he's been in years about his skin, and who would know that just a bottle of head and shoulders could do the trick!
For instructions, I recommend you apply head and shoulders to the skin where acne is present and lather really well. If you have extremely bad acne on different parts of your body, I recomment you bathe twice a day and lather very well and keep your skin as dry as possible. This remedy has done wonders for my husband, and I know it can do wonders for you!

In order to keep healthy, one must keep consistent with eating healthy, drinking water and lots of sleep. You might hear lots of remedies using toothpaste, lemon juice, etc. CONSISTENCY is the best. First thing is first, 8 hours of sleep a day. They don't call it beauty sleep for nothing. Drink a lot of water, ALOT. Not a puny 2 glasses, more like 8 glasses. Doesn't matter if you pee alot. It's just a process that will take the toxins out of the body. It's refreshing, trust me. Exercise. Keep to the daily ritual of washing your face everyday and do not sleep with your make-up on! Next is to exfoliate, twice a week. Oh and if you are using a creme with Benzyol Peroxide or Salycic Acid then try to use it once in a while. Use a moisturizer. Healing takes time...so don't expect immediate results tomorrow. But you will have immediate results next week and the week after, and soon enough you'll be sporting a beautiful face. Good luck out there!

Steep 1 teaspoon dried rosemary in 1 cup warm (not hot) water for 10 minutes. Stir well, then bathe acne-prone areas of your skin in the solution for a couple of minutes. Rinse well. I do this just before bed on my forehead and hairline, where I tend to break out. This will help soothe sore, raw skin and gently cleanse without causing overly dry skin (which in turn leads to increased oil production and worsens acne).

Acne is just a sign that something is not right in your body. First of all, change your diet. Eat LOTS of fruits and vegies, cut down the sugar intake (mine was mostly from soda), take a multivitamin (i take lots of extra B5), and drink alot of water. What else you'll need to do is look at all of the things that you feel is wrong in your life and do what you can to correct them. This is essential! It will lower your stress and give you peace of mind, which in turn greatly improves your overall health. I battled acne for years, many painful years!! I've searched everywhere to find something that works! This is the only solution, total mind and body health. Acne is your body's way of telling you there is something wrong, fix it! There are no immediate results that last, but this does because it CURES what is CAUSING the acne. After years of suffering with acne, I was willing to devote the time it took for this to work. The time it takes to try the quick fixes with their '90 day money back guarantee', you will be well on your way to perfectly clear and truly healthy skin. Acne is an imbalance inside of you, find the balance.

Hello. There is one simple solution that works for almost everyone. You don’t have to go out of your way to get prescription or buy witchhazel. It’s so simple. Just DON'T TOUCH, and whatever you do, DON'T PICK!
I recommend you just make a resolution to yourself one weekend when you're not seeing anyone, and just don't touch or pick your face AT ALL. Put on a plastic costume mask if you. If you have an itch, use a tissue. Don't use any acne remedies. Cover your mirror and don't do anything to make you think about your face. You don't even have to wash your face! Your acne should be gone or dramatically improved in 24 hours if you just don't touch your face AT ALL. I know it sounds too simple, but it really works.
You see, acne is caused by oil, dead skin and bacteria. Without anyone of these you acne is gone.
You can't stop oil production. All these remedies that claim to eliminate oil generally end up backfiring. They dry your skin out, and then your body produces more oil to compensate. Trying to dry your skin will also contribute to scarring. If your face is really oily, dab (not rub) it gently with a tissue no more than a few times a day. Keep cool when possible and if you sweat, splash your face with water and then dab it dry with a wash cloth. That’s all you should do.
You also can’t eliminate dead skin. Skin cells die off at a certain rate, and you can’t really change it. Often people wash their faces and scrub them to get off the dead skin. Actually you will just inflame your face and make your skin raw, which will make your acne worse.
The one thing you can really control is bacteria. There are two main sources of bacteria- your fingers and especially your fingernails, and your blemishes. Inside your acne are bacteria. They feed on the dead skin and oil in your pores. They grow (reproduce) and your body sends white blood cells to fight them. This causes swelling, tenderness, and redness. Most of the bacteria comes from your fingers and is put on your face when you touch. There is also a huge concentration of bacteria under your fingernails, so when you pick you introduce huge amounts of bacteria. Have you noticed that when you pick you tend to break out around the area? Also, when you pick, even if you wash your face, you leave huge amount of bacteria on the surface of your face. It infects your pores again and this time goes into several, creating multiple blemishes.
Also, when you pick you: 1) draw blood to the area making it red and inflamed, 2) sometimes cause an allergic reaction to the acid on your fingers causing inflammation, 3) create a scab, which doesn’t allow your skin to breath or release dead skin, bacteria, and oil (and looks really bad, too). Rupture your pore and cause the bacteria and puss to surrounding areas under you skin, giving you those terrible giant, hard, painful lumps.
SO DON’T TOUCH YOUR FACE!
PS You don't even have to get this one aproved by a docrtor! :-)

Take a herbal tea bag and drench it in warm water and rub it all over your face. Your face should be brown. Leave it on for 3 minutes, then rinse it with cold water and pat dry. The redness will go down and it will leave your face smooth and even toned.

This is not a home remedy, but Mary Kay sells a cleanser called velocity. It is only 10 dollars!! I use it twice a day and my bottle from christmas is still half full. Around Christmas time i began to use it and in one week my friends noticed a huge difference. Now the only time i break out is when i forget to wash my face. After i use the velocity cleanser i put Mary Kay acne treatment gel($7) over my pimples and they go away over night. I highly reccromend both Velocity ($10) and the Mary Kay acne treatment gel ($7)

If you have the stomach for it...
Acne can be cured by dabbing the eruptions with a urine-soaked baby diaper. Dab and let it dry, then wash with unscented Dial soap. It takes about 5 days to begin to see an improvement. I don't know if any first morning urine works. This was told to me over 20 years ago and it has cured everyone who has admitted to trying it. The first was my cousin Sarah. This is not a prank.

These are a few simple steps i use which have effectively helped to clear up my acne:
1. Drink atleast 2 litres of water a day! (not carbonated) Use diluting juice if you dont like drinking straight water. If your urine is yellow then you are not drinking enough water! it should be clear.
The more water the better! avoid carbonated drinks.
2. wash your face 3 times a day, preferably after meals, and before you go to bed. I use anti-bacterial wash twice a day and then a beaded black head wash 1 a day. Ontop of that i wash my face with regular soap in the shower
3. if you are a guy shave BEFORE you have a shower or wash your face and try to use electric razers.
4. Try and get atleast 20 minutes of natural sunlight a day, this keeps your body functioning properly.
5. have clean bed sheets, especially pillows. Try and change them every 2 days. i have 2 pillows and i only use 1 at night, so i flip them over so that im not sleeping on the same side of a pillow for more than 2 nights.
6. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE, alot of people rest there face on there hands while on the computer, or just generally rub there face every so often, maybe to check how bad a spot is feeling. This just spreads the dirt.
7. Try and get a lot of fresh air to your face by keeping your window open or just going outside.
8. Just generally try and have a good diet with a considerable amount of fruit and veg to keep your body working well!

I know It sounds weird, but I always used toothpaste. Just put a small amount on the pimple at night, and in the morning just wash it off with warm water. Sometimes it works over night but it could take up to three days for the full affect. To help prevent acne, I use Isopropyl Alcohol twice a day, it really cleans the face.

Tip #1.
Boil a pot of water and put a little salt in the water to create more steam, let the steam hit your face..careful not to get to close to the fire or the hot water...
Tip #2.
take a couple cotton balls, pour witch hazel on them and wipe it all over your face...witch hazel also helps with cuts and burns..

THERE ARE THREE EASY STEPS TO CURE ACNE. 1) Wash your skin with an oil free facial wash (ie. face, neck, and chest all have similar skin). 2) Clean off the soap scum left behind with a toner. 3) Immediately moisturize your face with a fragrent free facial cream. Do not use too much lotion - only about a dime size. Step three is very important. Dry skin will break out!!!

OK, who has time to sit around with eggs, cucumbers, tomatos, etc. for an hour a night?
If you have acne like me, and everything else has failed you. Try this, its fast and make sense for people who dont have time to wear a salad on their face every night.
Step 1: Take a deep breath and relax.
Step 2: Wash your entire body with Head & Shoulders twice a day.
Step 3: In the morning rub your face down with some Witch Hazel after washing with H&S.
Step 4: Take a Vitamin B5 suppliment.
Step 5: Rub your face down with Vitamin E pills (the contents of the pill of course) at night, wipe off excess.
Step 6: Use a clay mask once a week.
Above all, NEVER EVER EVER TOUCH YOUR FACE WITH ANYTHING BUT AIR. Although this sounds like alot, it is cheap, fast, and simple. Let your face (and body) do the rest. You actually don't want a dried out, sterile face. You need oil and bacteria, what you don't need is clogged up pores, the above steps will do this and keep it that way. REMEMBER you want not only blemish free skin but healthy skin. Try it!

My best advice is to use good soap. Anything with a ton of added perfume will just clog your pores or irritate sensitive skin even more. Glycerin soap works amazingly well with my combination-skin (mostly oily) type, and doesn't over-dry or cause increased oil production. My favorite types of glycerin soap are honey and lemon, but you can also get strawberry or blueberry. This works for me!

Okay. I've tried everything under the sun. And this remedy I happened upon by chance. It's very simple. Use glycerin soap. It gets rid of the itchy skin, the acne, the dryness...basically you end up with beautiful, comfortable skin. I've always had a problem with dryness and itching on the rest of my skin and the glycerin soap cured that as well. I don't have to use lotion on my face or my body anymore, I have no oil on my face (and it's also not dry, it's perfectly balanced so my makeup stays beautiful all day), and my skin is comfortable instead of itchy and painful. I don't use any other acne products or toners or anything. It's awesome! Major soap companies remove the glycerin from their soap (which then causes dry skin which develops into many problems) and then put the glycerin in their other products, like lotions. So they sell you one product that creates a problem, then sell you another to 'fix' it, although many lotions (especially facial) end up causing even more problems, hence needing to sell you an acne product (which usually doesn't fix it either). So you spend a few bucks on a couple bars of soap, and end up 'needing' many more dollars worth of lotions and remedies! Very profitable!

This works very well for acne. I have had acne my whole life but doing this for your face really works. You take a cotton ball and on the cotton ball you put rubbing alcohol then you rub that on your face lightly. Then let the rubbing alcohol dry for 5 minutes. Then you use Benzoyl Peroxide face cream then it is done. This has to be done twice a day in the morning and at night.

Before bed, wash your face and towel dry. Next, simply mix together two parts sea salt and one part warm water to make a salty paste. Apply the paste over the blemish, cover it completly, and allow paste to dry. This salt paste will harden and stay on your face until you wash it off the next morning. The saltly mixture will dry up that nasty blemish and kill the bacteria in your skin! Try it - works like a charm!!

This is a very simple treatment that I used to use all the time. All you need for this is honey & You should be able to see some results the next morning.
To make this treatment work you need to take honey and apply it to the affected areas at night, before going to sleep. Then go to bed and rinse in the morning.
You should see some results the next morning but it may take a while before the acne is gone completely.

IT REALLY WORKED! I stopped using it for 1 weeek, and i noticed a difference, it came back. but i started using Proactive again and it ALL went away. not even one or two stayed. To get rid of a pimple that is really raised (keep from squeezing it), crush half a tablet of vitamin c with a little water to make a paste and rub it on the pimple. The thicker the better so it won't just flake off and leave it on overnight. It draws the toxins out and dries it up and it works better than toothpaste. Do not use if you have extremely sensitive skin since vitamin c is ascorbic acid.

I found in several places that antifungal creme works so I thought if it can work on my bottom why not on my face. And after a week of use my face is almost all cleared up with no skin irritation. This remedy cleared m zits and blackheads in 3 days.Do this three times per day.
1. Wash your face with a good facial cleanser. Use warm water and lather for 2 minutes. It is very important to massage the cleanser into your skin VERY gently with fingertips only.
2. Use any clay mask containing kaolin or bentonite clay over entire face and let dry.To rinse off the mask add water and Very gently massage the mask into skin for a minut and then rinse away.
3. Use pure vitamin E oil from capsule.Important to make sure it is pure oil with no other ingredients added. Use as much as you like but remember to massage it into skin very gently.Any greasy excess can be removed by gently wiping skin with a dry cloth or towel.Even if this causes your skin to feel very oily it is good for your skin and acne scars will begin to fade the very first day.
I had horrible skin and after doing this 3 times a day for 3 days I look like a completely different person.

The remedy in which I am about to tell you, is guaranteed to show you results if you are one of the millions of people out there suffering from acne. My husband has suffered from acne just about as long as he can remember. He had the absolute worst case of acne I have ever seen. His entire body was covered in acne and scars. He tried everything from Proactive, the facial wipes, over the counter treatments, and even $600 treatments of Accutane that only left him with dry bleeding lips and suicidal effects. He gave up and just continued to suffer from his bad case of acne because he honestly believed there was no solution for his problem. I was determined to do some thing about this, and one day I was at a local grocery store and picked up a bottle of HEAD & SHOULDERS shampoo. I had him try bathing with the shampoo, and we were both shocked in how well it worked. Needless to say, my husband is now acne free. For the first time since he was a child. I have posted about this remedy all over the internet spreading the word to so many people out there suffering from this embarrassing and painful problem. I have received so many e-mails from different people thanking me about letting them know about this special remedy. For instructions, if you have acne on different parts of your body, I recommend that you lather the shampoo on your skin (especially where the break out is present) at least twice a day. If the acne is only present on your face, wash your face once-twice a day (twice a day for best results) and keep break out areas dry. This remedy has worked for my husband and so many other people, and if you try this easy, affordable, simple remedy, it can work for you too!

Good posts on this board. The diet connection to acne is very real and is the only thing that worked for me (acne sufferer for 10+ years). Stay away from processed food and no hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated foods (check the label). Yes- fruits and veggies are good. I've had no issue w/ meat, but did w/ alcohol (no more than 2 drinks / day). Carrots help my complexion and also making sure I get enough sleep at night. Diet and rest are the keys to a good complexion (in my experience), not expensive facial products.

Barberry and Oregon Grape capsules are avaliable at health food stores, take one capsule 1/2 hour before each meal and your acne will go away. It causes your liver to metabolize more efficiently and pure oils will come from your pores rather than oils bound with starches, proteins, and other substances that bacteria can live on.
Use this yourself and BE PROACTIVE! Tell anyone you see with acne about this, take them aside and let them know what you are using for it. If they say that they are using Blotto acne treatment or whatever, just say that now that they know that it doesn't work that they should try barberry/oregon grape capsules. Do it, get better......

Th key to prevent acne is keeping your face clean the whole day, free from oils and dirt. Acne only occurs when your skin pores are blocked, either by its own oil excretions (that's the most likely way), or by touching the pores with your own hands, which contain oil or dirt most of the time. The only way to keep your face clean the whole day is to wash it whenever you feel that it is starting to get oily. For me that's about 4 to 5 times a day. The trick however is that you have to wash it with a very mild moisturizing soap, and not your regular bar soap. Because if you wash it with regular face soap five times a day, your face will become very dry and irritated. Mild moisturizing soap however will not cause irritation or much dryness. This method has succeeded in reducing the occurence of acne by 90% for me. It might not be the easiest, but it works. P.S. The soap brand that I use is 'Caress', but any mild moisturizing soap will do.

I had acne before and I've beeen to many dermatologist too. I've tried a lot of home remedies and applications but still pimples are coming through. Until I discover what to do. Don't overwash your face. Wash it twice a day only, morning and night. Then, avoid touching your face with your hands. Use facial tissues on wiping your face rather than your hankies. In this way it can take excess oil on your face and prevent spread of bacteria since it is disposable. Dont squeeze pimples that are not yet mature. If a pimple already has a pus on it then that's the time you can squeeze it out using a pimple extractor. NEVER use your own hands on squeezing pimples it can only spread the bacteria and cause more pimples and can leave large holes on your face. If you notice new pimples just put a benzoyl peroxide cream on it. Apply it twice a day. Just don't put anything on your face. The most important thing is to be consistent on your regimen and your medication. Don't experiment on your face.
I hope this might help you.
Enjoy!

Drink a lot of CRANBERRY JUICE. I drank this for one day (to clear up a bladder infection) and woke up the next morning with a clear face! I've always had acne and this is the first time that anything I have ever drank or eaten has had such a positive and quick effect on my acne. It somehow rids your whole body of bacteria. I wouldn't recommend doing this continuously because overdoing the cranberry juice will cause, yes a beautiful clear complexion, but also diarrhea from loss of 'good' bacteria in the intestines and, if you're a woman, a yeast infection due to the lack of 'good' bacteria which makes up a healthy flora in the vaginal area allowing the fungus, yeast, to take over. I've never tried putting the juice on my face.. I wonder if it would work.

Everyone sure has alot of remedies for this frustrating condition. Ive been searching for years and years and tried everything under the sun, and for this first year, everyone has been amazed how clear my face is.
my solution is simple. FIRST get a bottle that sprays mist (eg. hairspray or body spray bottle) divide the bottle in six parts add one part of salt (anykind will do) 5 parts of water. spray on every morning and everynight, DO NOT wipe off or dry. if you have white patches on your face from too much salt just lightly rub it off.You will soon learn how much to spray on your face (and back and chest area) you can even apply makeup after words.
Second: keep a diary of what you are eating and see what makes you break out, for MOST people it is dairy products, I can only have dairy like once a week and limited at that.
Thirdly:take a bath or shower everyday
Thats it, enjoy your new confidence with in two weeks or sooner!

- i drink green tea 2 times a day
- wash my face in the morning, when i get home from work, and then before bed
- moisturize!! it's so important...because drying out your skin can make it break out
-i got a mud mask (i use epoch -- you can order it online it's called 'marine mud') I use it once a week all over my face and then use it as a spot treatment as well (sleep with it on)
- don't pick at your face. it spreads bacteria and causes scarring
- try to keep your hair off your face
- drink plenty of water

Why pay hundreds of dollars on chemicals that say cure acne, but only burn and dry out your face!?!
Alot of things work like lemons and limes, egg whites and vinegar, even milk and honey. But your skin is still at risk if you don't close your pores.
I find that if you:
- first wash your face with very warm water. It will open your pores.
- Then, wash face with soap. this will clean out clogged pores.
- After that, rinse rinse rinse! Make sure all the soap has been washed off. If soap is left on your face it could potentially clog your pores!
- And finally, put very cold water on you face. It closes your pores and protects them from getting clogged.
I hope this works for you. I worked for me and alot of my friends.

If you only have mild blemishes and blackheads try this: make a paste out of baking soda and water. Gently massage and cleanse face. Rinse. Follow with a light moisturizer.
If you have severe acne try this: make a thicker paste out of baking soda and water. Apply to face. Let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse. Follow with a light moisturizer.
The baking soda helps dry out the excess oil in your skin and helps the blemishes heal faster. You won't even believe how soft your skin feels too!

1. first of all, if you have a nasty pimp that is red, sore, has a 'head' on it and it needs to be popped. POP IT!
2. Wash your face with Dial Anti-bacterial soap. Repeat as necessary, especially if you are a woman that wears make-up.
3. Use a daily scrub. I use Clean&Clear-Blackhead Clearing Scrub. (just follow the direction on the bottle.)
4. Then use an astringent and cotton ball. i use Avon Clearskin-purifying astringent blackhead clearing formula but i am sure any astringent will do just fine.
5. (this one is weird, but trust me it works) now for that nasty pimple you just popped-- place a few drops of VISINE on a Q-tip and rub on the pimple. if you have more than one pimple you may want to use more than one Q-tip. it may sting a little but not bad. as the visine drys, your pimple and skin around your pimple will start to feel tight. don't worry this is normal.
i only recommend using the VISINE treatment at bed time. in my experience and depending on the size of the pimple, the pimple is 'dried up' and GONE the next morning-no redness, no swelling, no nasty looking sore on your face from popping the pimple. you may see a white flacky place where the pimple WAS, which comes off easily just by washing your face.
depending on how may pimples that you have and the size of them, you may have to repeat this process a few nights in a row. trust me, it really works.
VISINE: NOT JUST FOR YOUR EYES ANY MORE!!!

Acne and many skin blemishes start from within your body. Acne is a sign of your body being acidic. TOPICAL CREAMS WILL NEVER WORK!!! They will cover the symptom .
Take Acne seariously. Acne can be a sign of a slugish digestive system, liver, pancreas, etc.
When people go to naturalpaths or homeopaths the first thing they do is clean the person out. Colon, liver, candida cleanses, etc.
Do some of these cleanses. Take the grains out of your diet. Find some good omega 3 supplements. Your acne may disapear like mine did.
I had acne all my life. Antibiotics make it worse!!! Trust me. Get to a naturalpath, homeopath, chiropractor, etc.

For All The Young Teenagers-
First of all acne starts from the inside out, so you might want to change your eating habbits. Drink lots of water to flush toxins. Don't be afraid to use a school bathroom or public bathroom. use facial lotions that don't contain oil, if you already popped the pimple you might want to try putting powder on it to dry it out. the next day it should be flat and hard, get a wash cloth and soak it with hot water and put on blemish(make sure its not too hot!). it should soften and soon loose red color. make sure to wash area atleast 2 times a day to make sure it doesn't return.

Generic dandruff shampooin the morning and night and baby diaper rash cream before bed and leave it on all night, put a towel over your pillow. A natural acne clearing face mask:
I've had bad skin for a few years now, I'm generally healthy and have used many soaps and cleansers from shops and have even had prescription medication, non of it worked.
Someone recommended that I try a home made face mask they had heard of. I have been using it for nearly three weeks and my spots are SO much clearer!
How to make it:
Mix: 1 large tablespoon of set honey
1 large teaspoon of nutmeg
1 large teaspoon of cinnamon
2 teaspoons (approx.) or lime juice
Mix it until it is slightly runny, if it is not, add some more lime juice, if is too runny, add some more honey.
Apply this to your skin after you have washed it with a gentle wash (I use the body shop's tea tree wash) and leave on for about an hour) then gently rinse with warm water. If you do this once a day, you will see your skin get clearer and clearer. Also, before bed, gently rub an ice cube over your face, if you're face is very hot then the skin gets aggitated, this happens a lot during your sleep so if you ice your face, then it can settle it slightly. I find it can help a fair bit.
I hope anyone who tries this rememdy finds that it works as well as it did for me.

Make a solution with two tablespoons of white vinegar in a cup of boiled, cooled water. Store in a clean jar and use whenever necessary. Clean your skin. Dab your solution containing white vinegar onto the affected area several times a day; use a warm, green tea bag for an even better treatment. (Thanks to oldnaturalremedies.com)

After washing your face Use Natures Cure acne pills and put the acne body spray on your whole face and the acne cream on the infected areas. Don't sleep with your face in the pillow, oil will collect!!

Wash your face day and night with a product that has salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. then use a moisturizer, but get one witout oil, or you can even find some that help fight acne. Also when buying coverup, find one that is oil-free, because the oil can cause you to break out more.

Theres no doubt that diet is important, eating healthy, drinking enough water, regular exercise etc. of course though, if you're already eating healthy, drinking enough water, exercising, and you're still getting acne, then the problem isn't that simple. This though is where you should start for now. Then you should look how you're actually washing your face. What sought of soap/cleanser product are you using?(is it irritating your face). Are you not washing your face enough? or too much?
Look at the moisturizer you are using and see if it is making things worse, clogging up your pores maybe. Also, If you're a man, facial hair and shaving is something that can make things worse(well it did for me anyway.)But obviously im not saying you should stop shaving. Some people get acne/spots really bad, some people eat all soughts of shit and hardly ever get anything on their face(and they stay skinny). Thats what happens. Just try different things and see what works for you. Herbs and vitamins are important, make sure you're getting enough of the right ones. Of course if you're a person who's been eating unhealthy food most of your life, and you stop doing so, then you should expect this diet change to do wonders for your skin. But we dont all eat junk food, and yet we can still get acne, cancer, heart disease, and so on. The genes you inherited can play a part and so do your hormones. Lets not forget that.

Okay, I know this sounds crazy but it really works! A lot of people have heard of using Desitin on their face but most people use it the wrong way. You cannot put an entire layer of this on your skin and expect it to clear up! Actally, this will only make your acne worse. In order for the Desitin cream to work you have to use it as a spot treatment. You must wait until the pimple becomes a whitehead, open the pimple and try to extract as much as you can by sqeezing it and letting out the puss. Once you have done (with clean fingertips I might add) you want to dab on the Desitin and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Wipe it off with a clean, dry tissue and reapply. At this point you want to cover the breakout with a bandaid. Try the small round spot bandaids. Leave it on overnight and I swear the zit will be gone by morning!!! It really does work!! Another suggestion is to use the regular Desitin and not the creamy. Even thought the creamy smells better, you will see the same results. Good Luck!!!!

i use a acne treatment cream called Benzac AC, it is available at pharmacies although i dont know how many countries it is offered in. just use as instructed and you will ntice results soon.
NOTE;you will need to be patient as you will notice a worse breakout (in most cases)when you start using it but that is because the cream is unclogging the pores therefore it is bringing the 'gunk' to the surface.but after that breakout,if used regularly you will have noticeably clear skin.it works for me.soon as i stop using it,i wake up the next day with a few new pimples.it can irritate ur skin, and some people may be allergic to some of the ingredients so please check but it works,TRUST ME!!!

Not necessarily a 'home' remedy, but a homeopathic remedy. Yellow Dock, an herb, works great. It can be bought at most healthfood stores (Wild Oats, Whole Foods, etc.). Can be taken up to 3 times a day and acne should clear up within a couple days.
Warning - as a liquid, this tastes awful.
Note: Is also a detox and can be used to improve liver function, bladder function, burns, rashes, constipation, swelling, anemia, jaundice... all sort of stuff. I highly recommend building up a stockpile of homeopathic remedies for common health problems such as cold, earache, sour stomach, etc.

First of all, make sure that you are satisfied with your life or take steps (make goals) on how to make it better. I started out by divorcing my abusive husband and have been working on making a better life for me and my 6 year-old son. I went back to school and I am 2 years from becoming a Registered Nurse. The less stress the better. I started exercising and keeping track of all my activies and what I put in my mouth by visiting www.fitday.com (Great site and its FREE) I lose an averate of 3 lbs a week! I have never been happier and content with my life.
I had really bad acne as a teenager and still can get it pretty bad as an adult in my 30's. To get to my cleansing routine: Morning, in the shower, I use St. Ives Apricot facial scrub (for acne), then moisturize with L'Oreal Oil Free Moisterizer. I live in Las Vegas and during the summer I don't wear much face makeup because it melts off. At night, I use a CLEAN washcloth (I took Microbiology in school and KNOW how fast bacteria can grow in the right environment) and use a mild baby bath wash (I find the one with aloe works best for me) working gently in small circles, rinse completely with warm water and then splash face a few time with cooler water. Then I moisterize and put on a thin layer of Clearasil. Add all these components together for beautiful skin!

I had acne since I was 11...I tried everything from Proactive to Duac and NeoBenz and even RatinA (really harsh on the skin by the way...makes your lips dry, your skin red and it peels like a bad sunburn) nothing really improved my skin much...over the counter products didn't help either...
Then I Googled home remedies for acne and I decided to try washing my face with Head and Shoulders, apply honey and ground cinnamon (you're really supposed to sleep with this mask and wash off in the morning, but the honey is really sticky and you would rub it off anyways so I just used it for as long as I could before bed in the evening) and I saw improvements literally the next day. It takes away the redness and calms down your acne, your skin will feel a lot smoother too...I had a huge pimple that was deep under the skin, cystic acne on my chin and it went down a lot the next day. By the fifth day it was completely gone....this is really not a joke, it helped me...and I'm using it every night.
I also read that apple cider vinegar is good for acne, and acne scars (I have quite a few because when I was younger I squeezed and popped my pimples all the time believing that will make them go away) ill try to include that in my daily routine too...I will post on how it helped me in a week or two..

There are a few things that will improve acne. First of all wash your face every day with oatmeal soap. It will make your skin less oily and will also moisturize and make your skin healthy looking. Also, SEE A DERMOTOLOGIST!It is their job to help people with skin problems. Although it may be expensive, insurance helps cover the price and it is worth it. If you use an acne medicine make sure you aply it to your entire face exept for the parts that never break out. After putting the medicine on wait about ten minutes and aply Eucerine moistureizer only to dry areas. Also, once you have begun using a medicine your skin is extremely delicate ao make sure you use a sunscreen with SPF 30+ when in the sun. Every day you should drink half your weight in ounces of water. It isn't that much. And avoid processed foods. Make sure to have a routine an dstick to it. There is no magical cure for acne, but this is the next best thing. And besides, everyone gets it and people who don't don't care if you do.

One of the main causes of acne is not having enough vitamins.
Anything you put on your face whether it is 'all natural' or an over the counter cleanser, it is all temporary treatment for topical acne. If these remedies work for the treatment of your acne, then you have acne on the surface of your skin. For those who have tried different products that have yet to work it could mean that you have acne underneath your skin. Try taking a multivitamin containing magnesium and vitamin A. You will be amazed to find out how well a vitamin with magnesium will clear your face. Vitamin B also reduces stress.

Most acne sufferers do not give much importance to home remedies or simply they do not consider they are 'treating' their acne.As a fact certain remedies do have a good role in acne management or at least they prevent breakouts and speed up the healing process. One of them is Aloe Vera. It has been for centuries for different ailments, one of them is acne. it is an established fact that aloe ingredients have;
- A natural anti inflammatory effect which speeds up the healing process of acne.
- Moisturizing properties thus hydrate the skin and prevent it from becoming dry and blistered.
- A mild astringent effect that prevents excessive oil production.
- Revitalizing effects on skin hence results in fresh and clear skin.
For acne you can use it in multiple ways, like you can apply the lump directly to your washed face for 10 minutes, or you can use orally in the form of aloe gels, or aloe juices.

Mix lemon and sugar together. Apply it to the skin. Wait 10 or 15 minutes for it to dry. It will become very sticky. Tap your face with two fingers all around for a couple of minutes. This will help pull out some the black heads and other impurities that cause pimples. Rinse with warm water.
Good Luck

I'm one of those people who will have clear skin for about a month, and then POW! Volcano city on my face. One of my friends said a baking soda based toothpaste, but I didn't have any. She said a baking soda paste would work. I tried a baking soda paste (3 parts baking soda: 1 part water) but the paste just dried into a new powder, and it stunk pretty bad. However, it dried out my acne and left it less red after overnight. Then I tried a honey/cinnamon mixture (3 tablespoons honey, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon) and it left it less red after 15 minutes. It's supposed to be used overnight, but it's really really drippy, so I don't recommend using it overnight. Maybe a couple spot treatments throughout the day. Also, one of my mom's friends told me that Tinactin works. I haven't tried it yet, I just found out about it last night. She said to not worry about the label or what the actually cream is for, because it will work. I'm not entirely sure, but I hope some of this helps you out.

1. Egg white peel off mask
Seperate egg white with yolk. Use 1 piece of tissue paper, trace out your eyes, nose and mouth. Cut out holes you have traced. Use a brush to apply the egg white onto your face. Place the tissue paper you have cut onto your face. Use another tissue to cover the sides of your face. Apply one more layer of egg white over the tissue. Put remaining egg white in fridge for next use. Peel off when dried. Do once a week.
2. Green Beans Mask
Grind raw green beans into powder.
Put 3 tablespoon into a container. Add one tablespoon of plain yogurt and one tablespoon of honey. Mix into paste. Amount of ingredients to mix should be adjusted accordingly, mixture will drip if it is too watery. add bean powder to thicken mixture.
Apply on face and neck everyday, leave on as long as you like. Wash with warm water
This soothes the irritated skin and has whitening effects. It will even out skin tones too. Also great for minimising large pores.
3. Tomato Toner
Follow up with tomato juice as toner. Put one cherry tomato (normal tomatoes will do, except that it is too big and we can't recycle unused) into a cup of hot water for 3 mins. Cut the tomato into halves and glide the tomato all over the face. This will tone the face and calm the skin. You may wanna leave it over night or just wash it off.
Lastly, run a cube of ice over your face to tighten the pores.
Alot of work? maybe, but it is worth it.

Crack an egg in a bowl, scoop out the yoke and keep the egg white. After washing off access oil apply the egg white to your entire face and let set until dry. Once dry rinse it off completely, pat dry. Then use a moisturizer that does not have an oil-base. A good natural moisturizer is honey. Rub honey on your face after the eggwhite treatment, rinse it off, pat dry.
You should always moisturize after washing your face if you have naturally oily skin. After you wash all the oil off your face, your skin will overproduce oil to replenish what you washed off. If you moisturize, your skin won't feel the need to do so.

Here's just the basics.
*Wash your face, twice a day, morning and night.
*Use a light moisturizer.
*Drink 64 oz. of water. I mean you don't have to, but it clears the skin, and it's the recommended ammount of water they say to drink per day.
*Get fresh air and sunlight. It provides Vitamin D, which works wonders on your skin.
*Improve your diet. More fruits and vegetables!!! Although it was just proven not to have affect, if you avoid junk food. Lots of oily foods, greasy foods, etc. It can still help.
*Exercise. I know how hard it is to stick to a normal exercise schedule, but, if you sweat, you are doing a natural process of cleansing your pores. Just make sure you rinse your face off afterwards. :]
*De-stressify. One huge cause of acne is stress. Every night, before you go to bed, do something you love to do, that helps relax you.
*Don't touch your face!!! Oils & bacteria that you gather all day, will go to your face, straight through your pores and infect it with all the disgusting stuff imaginable. Just don't do it. Don't pick the acne or scabs, it leaves scars. Don't touch, bacteria.
I hope this helps!!!

Instead of spending lots of money on acne creams- crush an asprin and make a paste with a few drops of water. Apply to pimples till dry and then wash off. Can repeat several times daily if needed.
Asprin contains salicylic acid just like acne creams do.
DO NOT do if you are allergic to asprin!

We have noticed drastic improvement in only a week. Our drugstore does not keep this in stock but was happy to order it for us it cost about $15.00. Something else she's trying is mixing sulfur powder with an astringent it's also worked. I'm going to let her try the Head & Shoulders shampoo along with the baby diaper rash stuff. I will comment after a few days and let everyone know how it goes.

Diet to eliminate all sugars (you have to read the ingredients on labels), bad fats from margarine to peanut butter to other oils except for olive oil, all fried foods, all junk food; 2. Topical: Use aloe vera gel as often as you can; 3. Whole Food Supplementation: Inflaplex (NutriPlex Formulas) at 12 capsules a day and SuperGreens PhytoFood at 12 tablets a day. I've seen this work hundreds of times in my practice.

hey everyone :) over a couple months i've tried lots of remedies for acne/blackheads. none of them seemed to work exept for a few , this is moy own remedy and you see immediate results!
1. this is my own remedy (its sort of complicated but it was wonderous for me) and it really helped my blackheads and made my skin really soft..
so you'll need:
1. vitamin E caplets (find at any drug store)
2.any sort of facial wash or soap
(i used tea tree oil facial wash)
first your goina need to poke a small hole in 2 vitamin E caplets and squeeze the inside on your hand.
once you have all of it , rub it evenly all over your face.
leave it there for about 10minutes
wash your face , pat dry , then apply some oil free mosturizer.
thank ya :)
uh.. results may vary?

How many of you use cell phones? When your phone is pressed to the side of your face, it comes in contact with the oils and makeup and stays on your phone, redepositing all that nasty stuff the next time you talk on it. Every few days, dampen a cotton ball with Rubbing Alcohol and swipe it over your phone, being sure to get in between the numbers on the keypad. Take a look at what you just mopped up!

ok i am not going to tell you this will cure you... but i know it helps me prevent black heads and acne...
we learned this in modeling class... take one egg... use only the whites... smear the egg whites on your skin and let it sit untill it is dry... you will know because it is very tight... try not to move cause if you do it wont stay as tight on your skin...
then wash off....
i prefer to wash with head and sholders...
the egg tightens your pors and helps prevent future breakouts... i do it like once a week (on my beauty night)

acne is a way for your body to get rid of toxins. make sure you arent constipated. fibre (fresh fruit and veg should be eaten regularly)
dont pick at or squeeze your pimples. this breaks the membranes and can cause scarring and spread the infection.
hydrogen peroxide is helpful. the thing that made the biggest difference was excercise. half and hour a day that works up a sweat cleans out your pores and keeps everything to avoid blockups.

I have lived with acne since I was 12, and I am currently 19. I've tired everything out there but had no luck. That’s until I tried something of my own. Here is what you need:
-Head and Shoulders Shampoo
-Bert’s Bees Peach and Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub
-Bert's Bees Herbal Blemish Stick
-Neosporin
-A good green tea moisturizer
In the morning I wash my face with the Bert's Deep cleaning scrub. After I apply the blemish stick to wherever is needed, but try to stay away from areas that can do without because it can be very drying which causes more acne. Then, since I have a bed habit of picking at my acne to the point where they become scabs, I apply a small amount on Neosporin, and Finish off with the lotion.
At night I use the head and shoulders to clear away makeup and get my skin fresh. Again I do the same thing with the blemish stick, Neosporin and lotion.
I NEVER use the Pore cleaner and Head and shoulders during the same wash, your skin becomes irritated dry and itchy. My skin is somewhat sensitive as well, so sometimes I only do the Head and Shoulders every other day.
Also, because your skin can get used to the medications in washes very fast, I try to one a week wash my face with something different. Personally I use a black head clearing scrub.
So far I haven't had the perfect skin yet but this inexpensive at home way of clearing acne has worked better for me than anything else I have tried and my skin looks better than it has in years!
I hope it works for you too!

I'm using a simple wash cloth ®ular liquid hand soap. Circular motions on your face morning and day did the trick for me. I tried Proactiv, SkinID, and other acne creams. But surprizingly, this works the best! (Also try getting oil free/ oil control makeup so It won't clog pores and stuff) Hope this helped!

Make a paste by mixing honey and cinnamon powder. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. Repeat for two weeks, pimples will disappear forever.

For a zit or pimple that does not have a whitehead and is just red and inflamed, apply either comfrey leaf or chamomile tea directly to the spot. The comfrey leaf is best used in a tea bag (or something similar), and the chamomile tea will already be in a tea bag. Heat up water as though making a cup of tea, but not so hit as to burn your skin. Allow the tea bag to soak for a minute, then put directly on your trouble spot. Both of these herbs promote healthy healing of the skin, and you should see positive results within just a few hours of applying.

Okay this may sound a bit wierd but all you have to do is put a dot of lipstick onto your pimple. Leave it on overnight and its gone. It works for me very well.

For me, changing my diet basically got rid of my acne. First of all I was already a vegetarian, but I stopped eating fatty foods, salty stuff, some dairy products (well cheese) and especially sugar! Instead, I ate more bread, vegetables, fruit, a lot of grainy things, and I took zinc. I don’t know if will work for you or not, but it’s worth a try!

This is almost garunteed to work! Just mix honey, cinnimon, lemon juice, and nutmeg together and spread it over your face. Wait about two hours, then and wash it all off. You should take a shower afterwards just in case you got any in your hair.
I have been doing this for about a week and I think it's great. Please leave a comment so I know how it worked for you!

Prepare a small tub of clean warm water and another with cool water. Soak a face towel or sponge in each of them. Apply the warm moist towel on the affected area and compress it gently for a minute, this is follow by applying the cool moist towel over the area and alternating the two for about five times each.
The warm heat will help to open the pores while the cool water closes them. This process will help to dislodge much dirt and white heads from beneath the skin.
When done, wash the area with mild soap or facial wash, rinse it off last with warm water and blot it dry with another towel. You should then apply some toner or alcohol on the area. Any pimples or acne in that area should be cleared within the next few hours.

Get a tablespoon of yeast & add a few drops of water until it makes a paste then apply it to the pimple & leave it on overnight then wash it off in the morning. I read this in a magazine a long time ago & I tried it & in the morning the pimple was almost completely gone.

I used to have mild acne, and now it is almost all gone. Here's what I did:
1. Use a mild bar of soap and wash your face. Rinse.
2. Use a gentle gel soap. Rinse.
3. Use a scrub. I used Juliet's Natural Facial Scrub. Rinse.
4. DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE/DON'T PICK!
The reason being that the soap moisturizes, the scrub exfoliates, and when you don't touch your face, it keeps you from putting all the dirt and oil back into your pores and skin. I have stopped using the scrub, though, and I am still getting results. The most important thing is, don't touch or pick your face. You would be surprised how much you really do in one day! Also, it might help if you change your pillowcase regularly (goes back to the oil and dirt thing). Good Luck!

If you tried everything under the sun like I have, and even wasted money on proactiv, you know the aggrivation acne can bring. I've researched, and researched, went to dermo after dermo. Finally my primary care doctor had a crazy remedy. For just cleansing, wash in warm rinse in cold using either oxy10 that has the same crap in it as proactiv, or neutrogena, again the same ingredients as proactiv. Pat dry, then for on the spot, acne especially ones that are large and hurt, take an ice cube, hold it on the pimple for as long as you can stand it, let it air dry, then take a dab of toothpaste, not gel paste, but the white toothpaste and rub it all over it don't rinse it off. For scarring, this is gonna sound really strange but I've been doing this for 3 weeks now and have noticed a big difference, take sugar and honey, mix it together to make it pastey, rub it on the scars leave it in for 15-20 minutes, rinse with water, warm or cool, dandruff shampoo works fairly well too for preventing acne, but can dry out your skin really bad.

I am in school for Aesthetics, my instructor is a licensed chemist and swears by zinc-oxide! best product that has zinc is, no joke, diaper rash creme. Walgreens brand has 40% zinc and is no more than $4, will last at least 2+ months. dries the pimple without drying the skin, make skin soft as a baby's bottom (of course, it was made for babies!) and takes away redness within hours and stays gone. hope you try it, it really works!

I have dry skin, but I also have acne, so one day my face was itching horribly, and I put hydrocortisone cream on my face, and noticed the next morning where acne and dry skin both were, almost healed. I used this for a few months and this helped me dramatically. When I would lay out in the sun alot also, this would help my acne as well, with the combination of all three my skin was virtually clear in no time.

I suffered from acne and those ugly whiteheads and blackheads that everyone hates. And I started to change what I was doing.
I bought Acne Free after using Proactiv for a while (like 2 years). Proactiv really didn't do anything to my face. I now use Acne Free by University Medical. You can get it at Wal-Mart, Krogers, etc. in the facial cleansers aisle. It works!!! TRUST ME! If you use it TWICE a day (morning and night).
Then, I started working out again and noticed that my skin doesn't break out as much if...
1. Work out
2. Eat healthy
3. Use just the cleanser before and after the work out
Also, when you do break out, try dabbing a cotton swab (q tip) into hydrogen peroxide and apply it to the pimple/zit/blackhead/whitehead. It will foam/bubble but thats good. It helps clean the junk out when its open. I usually keep dabbing it on until it doesn't bubble/foam anymore. If you continue to dab hydrogen peroxide on it when you get a scab (I do this in the morning and night), it will get rid of the scab before you know it.
All of what I typed above...WORKS ONLY IF YOU GIVE IT TIME!!!
Hope it works for you!
